Lucas holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Podiatry from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa's only institution for podiatry education. During his studies, he developed a strong foundation in biomechanics, dermatology, wound care, orthotics, and nail surgery
procedures. His academic performance was matched by a deep commitment to improving mobility and quality of life for his patients.

Clinical Experience & Special Interests

With over a decade of hands-on clinical experience, Lucas has worked in a variety of healthcare settings—including private practice, multidisciplinary wellness center, and community outreach programs. His areas of special interest include:
· Biomechanics and custom foot orthotics
· Laser therapy for fungal nail infections and warts
· Geriatric and diabetic footcare
· Nail surgery
Lucas is known for combining cutting-edge technology with compassionate care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan suited to their lifestyle and needs.

Leadership in the Profession

Lucas has proudly served on the Executive Committee of the Podiatry Association of South Africa (PASA), where he contributed to national discussions on clinical standards, continuing professional development (CPD), and healthcare policy. His time on PASA was marked by a drive to uplift the profession and advocate for podiatric services within broader healthcare frameworks.
Through workshops, mentoring, and public engagement, Lucas continues to be a strong voice for professional excellence and patient education in the podiatry community.

Beyond the clinic, Lucas is dedicated to promoting foot health awareness through educational talks,and collaborations with local healthcare providers. His holistic view of podiatry means working closely with other healthcare providers to ensure his patients receive integrated and long-lasting solutions.
